This past weekend, James and I piled into the car and drove a good 7 hours from Kingston up to Bruce Peninsula. We got exceptionally lucky and avoided bad weather (though we were a bit chilly at times), and the trip went off without a hitch. I got knitting time, James got to do a bit of snorkelling on top of shipwrecks, and we both got to enjoy some amazing views. (Look at that water!)
A small perk of spending a weekend outside on the autumn side of Labour Day is undoubtedly the excuse to be covered in wool. Back in July, after seeing so many beautiful FOs from the Fringe Hatalong, I couldn't resist casting on Cirilia's L'arbre Hat. It's about time for the weather to turn.. I've been waiting to wear this thing for months!
Pattern: L'Arbre Hat
Yarn: Quince and Co. Osprey in Storm
Like most Quince and Co. yarns, Osprey has amazing stitch definition and it was a great match for this pattern. I'm still debating about adding a pom pom, but for now I kind of like it as-is. Everything about this hat was a delight to knit, and it really only took a couple days of casual post-graduation unemployment knitting time to finish up.
I'll be back soon with another FO (a hat, duh), and an FO that is making me question my sanity!
